Hautflügler (Bienen, Wespen und Ameisen)
In der Sektion Hymenoptera werden neben den Hymenoptera auch die Heteroptera, "Homoptera", Orthopteroidea (enthält Mantodea, Blattodea, Dermaptera, Phasmatodea und Saltatoria) und Phthiraptera kuratorisch betreut. Sie umfasst zurzeit ca. 160.000 Individuen aus ca. 15.500 Taxa. Darunter beherbergt sie Sammlungen (oder Teile davon) von Wilhelm Aerts, Dietrich Bornhalm, Johannes Gallasch, Sigfrid Ingrisch, A. Jacobi, Johann Klapperich, Heinrich Klockenhoff, Richard Meinertzhagen, Rene Oberthür, August Reichensperger, R. Roesler, A. Schoop, Josef Szijj sowie die Insektensammlungen des Zoos Köln und des aufgelösten Fuhlrott Museums Wuppertal.
