Forschungsinteressen
In meiner Arbeitsgruppe beschäftigen wir uns mit Populationsgenomik (Ganzgenomanalysen), Ökologie und Morphologie von Süßwasserfischen, derzeit mit dem Schwerpunkt Elritze (Phoxinus spp.). Dazu führen wir ein standardisiertes Monitoring mittels Punktabundanzbefischungen durch, erfassen ökologische Parameter, sammeln Fische und untersuchen sie morphologisch (geometrische Morphometrie) und trophisch (Mageninhaltsanalysen, stabile Isotope). Am Ende werden die Ergebnisse der trophischen und morphologischen Untersuchungen mit den Ergebnissen der Ganzgenomanalysen zusammengeführt, um Aussagen über Art-/Populationsgrenzen, ökologische Präferenzen einzelner Arten und den Einfluss von Hybridisierung durch Besatzmaßnahmen treffen zu können. Alle gewonnenen genetischen Resourcen werden in unserer Biobank deponiert und entstandene Datensätze und Analysecode auf open source Datenbanken zur Verfügung gestellt.
