The zcb already operates and maintains a growing suite of tools and services for LIB researchers, curators, and external partners, several of which are fully operational today, while others are in active development.
ASV Registry: An operational infrastructure for the management, validation, publication, and citation of amplicon sequence variant data, serving LIB and the broader NFDI4Biodiversity community.
LIB Collection Portal: A publicly accessible portal providing searchable access to LIB's collections, with stable persistent identifiers for Hamburg (zmh-coll.de) and Bonn (zfmk.de).
Diversity Workbench: Ongoing support, improvement, and semantic integration of this established and actively used collection management system, including development of a modern web interface.
fylr: A web-based asset management system storing the varied specimen-based media created at the LIB.
LIBTellMe: A natural-language interface to LIB's text-based biodiversity knowledge, currently in prototype development, enabling researchers and the public to explore biodiversity knowledge through conversational queries with traceable and scientifically defensible answers.
Trait Knowledge Graph: A semantically structured, FAIR-compliant repository for biodiversity trait data, in development to support cross-disciplinary research on functional diversity.
Digitisation support: Practical and strategic support for collection digitisation, already provided across LIB and aligned with the LIB Digitisation Strategy and international standards (MIDS, DiSSCo, NFDI4Biodiversity).
LIB GFBio Data Centre: One of ten data centres in Germany, supporting the curation, archiving, and publication of biodiversity data, serving the NFDI4Biodiversity community; CoreTrustSeal certification in preparation.
