The Coleoptera section is in charge of a rather small collection of about 2.5 million beetles from all over the world (with a focus on Africa and Asia). Our research covers taxonomic and evolutionary questions using a wide range of methods, from DNA and structural morphology-based analyses to morphometrics and macroecological approaches using niche and distribution modelling.
