The library of the LIB at the Museum Koenig in Bonn has a high status as a scientific research library in the Federal Republic of Germany due to the combination of its holdings with intensive specialist advice and support from the scientists working at the centre.
The general, zoological and entomological literature collections are housed in the Central Library and the Main Entomological Library. The individual sections each have a library containing specialised research literature on the respective subject area.
