The LIB attaches great importance to proactively promoting gender equality and working towards a balanced gender ratio throughout the institution and at all functional levels. To this end, the LIB has drawn up and adopted a personnel development concept that includes measures for the advancement of women and an equality plan (GEP).
In particular, this concept contains an analysis of the current state of gender distribution in various functional areas and hierarchical levels of our institute as well as formulated goals for eliminating existing imbalances. Measures have been formulated to achieve these goals, including regulations and agreements to improve the compatibility of work and family life.
These include flexible and mobile working options, but also an organisational culture that creates an awareness of family needs - in practice, but also supported by mandatory training for managers, etc. The LIB has equal opportunities officers who are released from their working hours to fulfil their duties.
