Good Scientific Practice & Ombudspersons

Ensuring Good Scientific Practice & Ombudspersons

All research institutions are called upon to protect science and themselves from falsification and to take action against the misuse and manipulation of scientific results within the scope of their own responsibilities. The Leibniz Institute for Biodiversity Change Analysis (LIB) fully complies with the recommendations of the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Leibniz Association and encourages its employees to emphasise the importance of good scientific practice when training students. Compliance with these rules is expressly considered a contractual obligation at the LIB.

At the Leibniz Annual Conference in November 2021, the Leibniz Code of Good Scientific Practice was unanimously adopted.

With the transmission of the code and the associated resolution to the DFG, the Leibniz institutions have now been notified of the legally binding implementation of the DFG's rules and regulations.
For questions with respect to the use and application of the Leibniz Codex contact the Integrity, Committees and GWK Department
