Entomologische Mitteilungen aus dem Zoologischen Museum Hamburg

Entomologische Mitteilungen aus dem Zoologischen Museum (also Entomologische Mitteilungen aus dem Zoologischen Staatsinstitut u. Zoologischen Museum Hamburg) was a peer-reviewed, international journal published by the Museum of Nature in Hamburg (formerly Zoologisches Museum Hamburg) from 1952 to 2014.

It primarily focused on entomology, the study of insects. The journal featured research articles, reports, and notes related to the identification, taxonomy, and biology of insects and other arthropods. The publication also highlighted findings from the museum's collection of insect specimens, contributing to the broader field of entomological science. This journal was significant in promoting the scientific study of arthropods, particularly those found in regions surrounding Hamburg or collected by the museum's researchers.

Over its long history, the Entomogische Mitteilungen published 17 volumes and 192 issues—now freely available on ZOBODAT:

In 2014, the Entomologische Mitteilungen concluded.

Since 2017, the Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change (LIB) has been publishing the journal Evolutionary Systematics in collaboration with its two research museums (the Museum of Nature in Hamburg and the Museum Koenig in Bonn).

Authors are now invited to submit their manuscripts to this new journal:
