Description

BiodivKI-2: Information management and annotation tool

The sub-project at the LIB "Information management and annotation tool" of the LEPMON project develops the infrastructure for data management, provides the web portal(https://lepmon.de) and develops the data portal with the overview of results.

One goal is to provide research data management and digital presentation throughout the LEPMON project and to enable the connection to the AI pipeline developed in the sub-project "Image analysis and species identification with AI". This includes setting up the in frastructure for data input, management and storage from 190 camera light traps, each of which is in operation for about 6 months a year, guidelines for data handling, support for data analysis and evaluation, preservation and publication of data and procedures in cooperation with NFDI4Biodiversity.

Another goal is to provide an annotation tool for the localisation and identification of insects on the images of the camera light traps by taxon experts and citizen scientists.
