The photo exhibition presents impressive, artistic and technically perfect images from the 27th year of the international photo competition. The 86 best pictures are on display. These were selected from almost 23,000 entries. Photographers from 35 countries competed against each other this year.
Norwegian photographer Pål Hermansen was chosen as the winner with his picture "Meal". It shows a bear eating a walrus. This extremely rare event was captured with a drone during an expedition in north-west Spitsbergen.
Together with the organiser Glanzlichter Competition and the exhibition organisers of "projekt natur und fotografie", Museum Koenig Bonn is presenting the outstanding photographic works. On display are photographs that reflect the beauty of nature and at the same time its endangerment in many different facets.
The travelling exhibition shows the winning images in the categories "Wonderful wilderness", "Beauty of plants", "Nature as an art form", "Winged artists", "World of mammals", "Diversity of all other animals", "Moments of nature" and "Aerial shots of nature".
