Description of the

The project analyses biodiversity data from nationally representative sampling areas. Data on the abundance of breeding birds, grasshoppers and butterflies will be combined with vegetation and land use data from ecosystem monitoring (ÖSM) and the monitoring of ecologically valuable agricultural areas (HNV).

The objectives of the project include:
i) Review, consolidation and evaluation of existing data from the monitoring programmes
ii) Development of assessment methods and modelling approaches
iii) Analysis of possible synergies between the various nationwide monitoring programmes
iv) Description of specific information needs, such as data collection methods, for future monitoring projects and analyses
