Safeguarding good scientific practice & ombudspersons
All research institutions are called upon to protect science and themselves from falsification and to take action against misuse and manipulation of scientific results within the scope of their own responsibilities. The Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change (LIB) fully complies with the recommendations of the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Leibniz Association and encourages its employees to emphasise the importance of good scientific practice when training students. Compliance with these rules is expressly regarded as a contractual obligation at the LIB.
The Leibniz Code of Good Scientific Practice was unanimously adopted at the Leibniz Annual Meeting in November 2021.
With the transmission of the Code and the associated resolution to the DFG, the legally binding implementation of the DFG's regulations by the Leibniz institutions has now been notified accordingly.
