From spring flowers and butterflies to hares and deer - meadows are home to numerous plant and animal species. The diversity of this habitat is shown in the photographs taken by 15 photographers from the Eschmar Nature Photography Club. The Museum Koenig Bonn is presenting their impressive photographs in the special exhibition "Habitat Meadow", which opens on 19 February.
Meadows inspire with their beauty: butterflies, beetles and bees live among the wild flowers and grasses. Birds build their nests on the ground. Many mammals also raise their young here. Meadows are among the most species-rich habitats and have a special significance for nature.
For photographers, this world of grasses and flowers offers a wealth of motifs and the opportunity to discover their own creative perspectives. This exhibition has been compiled from a variety of photographs - taken on native dry grasslands, in the grasslands of the savannahs or the salt marshes of the coastal regions.
The Naturfototreff Eschmar brings together 15 photographers who not only share a passion for photography. With their pictures, they show the fascinating beauty of our natural world and promote a respectful approach to it.
