Description of the

The extraction of bulk raw materials such as gravel, sand, clay and gypsum is associated with considerable interference in ecosystems.

The project aims to preserve and promote biodiversity in the quarrying sites of the building materials industry. The ZBM is developing a systematic biodiversity monitoring system that can be applied in the corporate context of the building materials industry. Both traditional methods of biodiversity recording and technology-driven methods are used.
