Internships are possible with us as part of a school or compulsory internship. At both the Museum Koenig Bonn and the Museum der Natur Hamburg, you can get a taste of different areas of activity. You can find the relevant areas and contact persons here:

Unpaid compulsory internships in the area of exhibition design


in the exhibition department for six weeks to three months. The start date is flexible by arrangement.

Tasks:

  • Assisting with the exhibition concept for the permanent exhibitions in the Museum der Natur, special exhibitions and the exhibition in the new museum
  • Scientific research of content, images and objects
  • Working on an independent project
  • Insights into the museum work of a natural history museum in general
  • Independent work in a young, dynamic team


Profile:

  • Studying biology, at least in the third semester
  • Interest in communicating biological topics and museum work
  • Linguistic skills
  • very good computer skills
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Flexibility, organisational talent, independence, ability to work under pressure

About the museum:

The Museum der Natur Hamburg consists of three exhibitions - zoology, geology-palaeontology and mineralogy. A new innovative natural history museum ("Evolutioneum") is being planned.
