What is your current position/function at our institute?
Assistant administration

What do you like about your job/position?
In my position, I interact with almost everyone here at LIB. I learn new things every day about the people who work here, about their work in the different sections, and about the collections and the museum. It’s very exciting here at the institute because there are so many different areas of work. I also like that people from many different nationalities are employed here.

Can you please describe your tasks at the LIB?
I am the central contact for all questions concerning administration at Hamburg and the bridge to the administration in Bonn. Employees come to me, for example, when they need a company vehicle or office supplies, or when they want to send parcels with precious collection items to distant institutes or universities. It is important to me that colleagues feel comfortable here and can work well.

Is there something about the Institute that particularly appeals to you?
I really like my colleagues and I look forward to working with them every day. I like that I can speak a lot of English here. What I find exciting are meetings on special topics or lectures and presentations by colleagues as well as events at the institute and in the museums.
