Happy festive season!

Dear companions of the LIB,

Two and a half years ago, we set out on our journey with the LIB. In the meantime, we have already covered a great deal of ground, leaving the familiar behind us to make something new possible – in the LIB and around us. Species extinction, climate change, zoonoses, democratic crisis: they are all connected. In order to preserve our ecosystems and thus our livelihoods worldwide, we at LIB are helping to shape this world.

We are on the move to research the changes in biodiversity in order to understand who shares this planet with us. We are also on the move to create connections: between people and nature, yesterday and tomorrow, cultures and perspectives, between science, society, business and politics.

We thank you for traveling with us and hope that you will continue to accompany us actively.

We wish you happy holidays
and all the best for the year 2024!

Prof. Dr. Bernhard Misof, Director General LIB,
Adrian Grüter, Managing Director,
and the entire LIB team
