Can you please describe your tasks at the LIB?
In the project, we are developing a new type of genetic marker to more specifically detect the origin and relationships of illegally traded and protected species. One of the main tasks is to establish a network with authorities, science and the public. Also to bring the topic of forensic biology and the more and more prevalent illegal wildlife trade in Germany and Europe to the public.
