From 18th to 21st November 2021, Museum Koenig will host the “Bonn Biodiversity Days”: The event, consisting of the FörTaxCon and the third edition of the Conference of Species, will take place online. Registration for the conferences on biodiversity has now begun and is open until 5th November.

The “Bonn Biodiversity Days” start this year with the first FörTaxCon on 18th and 19th November. The focus is on the topic of species knowledge, its communication and use for nature conservation. The Conference of Species – Together against Species Extinction is already taking place for the third time. On the weekend of 20th and 21st November, it will form the second part of the event. The programme of the Conference of Species has the motto “Biodiversity as a Chance” and deals, among other things, with the topics of Citizen Science, agriculture and the collection and exchange of biodiversity data. Biodiversity conservation, taxonomy, environmental monitoring and species knowledge are central themes that link the two conferences.

The “Bonn Biodiversity Days” bring together stakeholders from the field of biodiversity: Researchers, citizen scientists, teachers, students and representatives of nature conservation organisations, associations, interest groups, authorities and ministries. The aim is to network the participants and develop joint initiatives.
